Wiley leads Prairie girls to Mississippi Division runner-up finish
CEDAR RAPIDS — Senior Reese Wiley turned in a personal best to lift her Prairie cross-country teammates to a runner-up finish in Thursday’s MVC Mississippi Division meet at Seminole Valley.
Wiley recorded a 5K time of 18:39.4 to take the title. She was joined in the top 10 by teammates Harper Groteluschen (third at 18:43.6) and Eloise Boyer (seventh at 19:05.6).
City High edged the Hawks 35-36 for the title.
On the boys’ side, Prairie’s Cole Carrizales was the runner-up with a time of 15:22.8, while Burkley O’Green was seventh in 15:40.8.
Xavier’s Andrew Allen was fourth in 15:34.2.
