RoughRiders back in the win column
CEDAR RAPIDS – The losing “streak” is over.
After the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders had their 7-0 start to the season halted by back-to-back losses, the United States Hockey League club welcomed Sioux City to the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena Friday night and returned to its winning ways.
Cedar Rapids forward David Bosco’s hat trick included a second period tally that gave the RoughRiders the lead for good in a 5-3 victory. Carter Ernst collected three assists and fellow forward Braiden Scuderi tacked on a goal for Cedar Rapids (7-2), which will host Sioux Falls again Saturday.
