Cedar Rapids RoughRiders unbeaten no more
CEDAR RAPIDS – One had to figure it would not last forever.
The best start in the history of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders came to an end Friday night at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena as the junior hockey team lost for the first time this season, 6-2, to Madison.
Cedar Rapids (7-1) appeared well on its way to extending its undefeated season when defenseman Matas Janulis and forward Henry Lechner each scored goals in the first period for a 2-1 advantage, but Madison (2-3) outscored the RoughRiders, 5-0, over the final two periods.
