Moody hits 7 TD passes as Bees dump Mustangs
CEDAR RAPIDS – Reggie Moody threw seven touchdown passes Saturday as St. Ambrose belted Mount Mercy, 56-20, in a Heart of America Conference football game at Busse Field.
The Bees led, 56-7, in the third quarter.
Ja’Mari Dean and Kam Bohnsack caught two TD strikes. Bohnsack also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown.
Moody completed 21 of 31 passes for 297 yards.
Alex Estrada scored on an 18-yard scramble for Mount Mercy. Darrell Michael Jean threw a 5-yard TD pass to AJ Roza and Coda Johnson returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown for the Mustangs.
Mount Mercy has allowed more than 50 points in three games this season with losses to William Penn (60-7), Peru State (59-10) and now St. Ambrose (56-20) in its first season of college football.
The Mustangs fell to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference. St. Ambrose is 5-2 overall and 4-0 in the league.
