Benton Falls to Clear Lake
By Gibson Lowenberg
The Benton Bobcats fell to the Clear Lake Lions 48-7 in a game where they could not get any momentum going at all.
Freshman running back Kaden Mitchell led the Bobcats with 62 scrimmage yards.
The Bobcats were unable to put points on the board until late in the game when the Lions overthrew a snap, and it was recovered within the ten-yard line. This play led to a Kaiser Townsley touchdown, the only points of the game for the Bobcats.
“I don’t know if you can learn any lessons with an experience like this,” said Co-Head Coach Kal Goodchild. “We have to figure out the best way to get the kids in the right spot. We obviously didn’t have it tonight.”
The Bobcats will look to bounce back next week against Independence at home.
